On September 1, 2018, the 7th China Software Cup Student Software Design Competition came to an end. The contest team selected the "Hardware Extraction and Analysis Based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Vision" competition team to receive the special award, which fully reflected The judges paid attention to artificial intelligence and machine vision and affirmed and recognized the team. Jiang Ligan, the judge of the 7th China Software Cup Student Software Design Competition, talked about his views on artificial intelligence and machine vision technologies that have emerged in recent years.

Jiang Ligan believes that machine vision is an important extension of human vision, and that vision is the main way for humans to perceive the world. How to obtain functions similar to human vision through machine vision is a problem we need to break through; artificial intelligence just provides this aspect. The opportunity to break through, the machine training and learning of one of the most critical technologies of artificial intelligence, imitates the learning process of human beings, because the correct thinking of human beings is actually trained from countless experiences.

 

The successful application and in-depth study of machine learning in computer vision will create more miracles and become closer to our lives in the future; for example, future machine eyes may approach similar functions of our human eyes, and robots are no longer today. A clumsy machine, but a companion with a wise eye.

 

We still face many challenges in machine learning training and machine vision. First of all, our artificial intelligence model needs to be improved, and it is far from ideal. The latest deep neural network YOLOv3, which is applied in this competition, needs a revolutionary improvement. Secondly, machine vision is only at the level of image acquisition. There is a great distance from visual perception and far from wisdom.

 

Jiang Ligan said at the end, but we should see that in the new technology boom that has emerged in recent years, artificial intelligence is undoubtedly the most imaginative space technology direction for human beings; currently it includes learning and training through artificial intelligence machines in machine vision and speech recognition.
